Elias Estabrook

Job Coach

Elias Estabrook joined the New Haven Works staff as a Job Coach in August 2018. Elias grew up in the city of Somerville, Massachusetts, just north of Boston.  He was raised by his mother, a physical therapist, and his father, a teacher and worker health & safety trainer, to be compassionate towards people and confront the inequities of the world. He graduated from high school at Prospect Hill Academy and worked several seasonal jobs, including in carpentry, community development, and teaching. In 2012, he moved to New Haven.

Elias holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Yale University. He has worked at numerous non-profit organizations throughout New Haven, including the Boys & Girls Club of New Haven, Urban Resources Initiative, and Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services (IRIS). While working for almost two years at Neighborhood Housing Services of New Haven, an affordable housing development and homeownership non-profit, Elias built relationships with people and community groups in the Dwight, Hill, and Newhallville neighborhoods. At New Haven Works, he is excited to help New Haven residents find jobs that support their families and contribute toward revitalizing their communities. He is also passionate about working with other twenty-somethings to secure a future where they can thrive in New Haven.
Elias resides in the Newhallville neighborhood of New Haven. In his spare time, he enjoys walking and biking, eating New Haven’s diverse cuisine, and watching movies.
